MAGAZINE LEADS MAJOR BUSINESS PUBS FOR A SECOND YEAR
NEW YORK, April 17, 2007 -- Inc. ranked number one for the second year in a row among the major business titles (Business Week, Inc., Forbes and Fortune) for Actions Taken on the basis of advertising, according to the latest data released by the VISTA Print Effectiveness Rating Service, a division of the Affinity marketing and media research company.
The VISTA Service, a syndicated accountability tool that measures advertising effectiveness among the leading consumer and business publications, also indicated that over the two year period Inc. outperformed the overall Actions Taken norm for all magazines included in the study (Inc.'snormative score of 54% indexed 6 points higher than the all magazine norm).
Inc. occupies the #1 spot among the business titles measured in 2006 for both Brand Association (awareness of the sponsoring advertiser upon viewing of an ad) as well as Actions Taken. Inc. not only took the top spot for the any action metric as a whole, but for seven of the eight individual actions measured - most notably for actual product purchases where Inc.'s score was 33% above the nearest competitor - 50% higher than the average of all measured competitors. Other actions measured include: More Favorable Opinion, Gather More Information, Visit Advertiser's Website, Visit Store, Dealer or Other Location, Save Ad for Future Reference, Recommend Product and Consider Purchasing Product.
Inc.'s dominance in driving readers to action spanned several product categories, most markedly in the Retail, Computers & Technology, Online Services, Office Machines, Telecommunications and Travel categories.
Recipients of the 2006 Inc. VISTA Awards (which honor the top scoring advertisements for Total Recall and Actions Taken measured in Inc.) include American Express OPEN For Business, Marriot Residence Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, Verizon Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Microsoft Office, Panasonic Toughbooks, CDW, 1&1, Bose Speakers, United States Postal Service, Lexus IS, Range Rover and Ford Escape Hybrid.
